Why Counselling and Psychotherapy?

You may not be able to precisely name your problems, but you may be feeling unhappy, stuck or blocked in areas of your life. Then counselling and psychotherapy might be for you. Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to explore your problems in a safe and confidential place. It is a process of self discovery and change, and can help you to unlock those difficult feelings and help reduce your stress and manage everyday life in a better way.

There are many reasons to seek therapy. It may be that you are experiencing life changes such as divorce or bereavement or you may have post adoption issues to resolve. You might have any of the following symptoms:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety and panic
  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Abuse (physical, emotional, sexual)
  • Identity development (race, sexuality)
  • Feeling stuck in life
  • Feelings of self harm or suicide
  • Lack of confidence and low self esteem
  • Anger issues
  • Eating Disorders
  • Bereavement
